Right my gaming history, well lets see. Unlike most of the people on my course I can't say I started gaming at a young age, not until I was at least eight or so. I was first introduced into the gaming world through my childhood friends. Until then I hadn't even played pac-man or star fighter. In one year i was introduced to so many gaming platforms at once I was overwhelmed, how did I go about my life without even noticing these things before, so alien to me but yet so amuzing to me.God it's hard to remember what i was playing on what with my frineds at the time before I actually got my own platform. My parents were completely against things alien to them and especially when it put them out of pocket.
I remember playing zelda on the N64 and James Bond on the Snez i believe, good times and games that would later still have an influence on me till today. However I never got 2 possess my own and I did find it rather depressing to hear people talking about the latest games they were plying on them but not be able to contribute back.
However after effectivly black-mailing my parents to insanity I got a break. Come the age of eleven I had a computer and one of those plug in and play (never want to load) things. the plug in basically helped my catch up with all the basic games i'd missed since the birth of games. That covered I ventured forth and the opening of the doors to command and conquere/ red alert absolutely fell in love with these games aswell as anything simular, what can I say RTS games appeal to me. Other computer games included theme hospital and its... unusual portrial of hospitals as well as the tycoon games.
From thirteen I basically caught up on all the gaming I'd missed out on when I was younger. I flew throught the platforms playing on gameboys and the gamecube to playing on the playstations 1&2 and the xbox. I ventured through all sorts of games to trying out all the genres to find my preferences and to the is day im still doing that on my 360 and wii. I know this much so far though I hate to bits sports games mainly due to the fact you can do them real life anyway, and the piont og gaming is to do stuff you can't normally do in the real world and driving games as i'm useless at driving apart from mario kart, that I can handle.
